The People's Republic of China is an anti-democratic authoritarian regime that maintains control by limiting freedoms. It jails people for simply speaking out against the government. The CCP has placed millions of Uyghur minority in internment camps since 2017. They have repeatedly postured aggressively in the Pacific Ocean against neighboring Taiwan & Japan. China sent a spy balloon over the continental US to document activity of American nuclear bases (which President Biden was woefully slow to react to A coincidence, I'm sure). In order for any reasonable peace talks to take place, China must be contained and held accountable.

How can any moral society proclaim admiration for individual liberty then not oppose totalitarian warmongers?
